Pumpkin Patch 2009

This year we visited the pumpkin patch a little bit late – just one week before Halloween. As a result, the patch that we visited was a tad short on pumpkins in their main field. So, we ventured to their “south” field, which had barely been touched. In fact, many of the pumpkins were still on the vine. They all looked so good that it was difficult to choose one. When we asked Charlie which one he wanted, he pointed to about seven different pumpkins and then ran off in a different direction... With me reminding him that running in mud puddles while wearing rubber boots is not a great idea. (Luckily he did not fall.) When we finally all found a pumpkin we agreed on, Charlie helped Andy cut it off the vine with Andy’s handy pocket knife. It was a quick trip to the patch this year, but still a lot of fun!
