Fun Christmas Crafts

This year Charlie and I were able to work on a few crafts for Christmas before he came down with his cold... Which lasted for a good week and a half right before the holiday. My goal this year was to teach him how you could stack shapes to make different pictures... So we were drawing a lot of Christmas Trees and snowmen. :) He really fell in love with Frosty this year, so it worked well!

Charlie had fun assembling a little Christmas tree to put at the top of his countdown-to-Christmas paper chain. I thought it was interesting that he lined up all of the ornament shapes. He tends to categorize things like that!

We also spent a bit of time coloring pictures this year, mostly of Santa Clause. Looking back at last year, his coloring has definitely improved. He also likes to write his name on everything that he does.

One of his friends invited him over to make gingerbread houses one day as well. We had a lot of fun doing that! Charlie had very definite ideas of which candies should go where, and I again thought it was interesting that he would make sure that all of the same color or type would go in a line. He is definitely still a sorter!

We didn’t do as many crafts as we did last year, but I think Charlie still had a lot of fun with what we were able to accomplish.
