This is How we Eat (and Sleep)

Ephram's eating has truly evolved in the last couple of months.  He is enjoying more diverse foods, eating more often, and can even (sometimes) handle his sippy cup on his own.  Yes, he may think it's a big game to suck water out of the cup and then just open his mouth to dribble it all down the front of his clothes... but it is progress.

Ephram has continued to enjoy eating cheerios.  He has them throughout the day - sometimes as many as five times - as he is waiting for me to prepare other food or watching the family eat.  He also now enjoys them from his stroller when we are out and about.  He has started playing with his food too... He loves to pick up a cheerio and then stretch it all around him to see if he can touch other things with it.  Another game he seems to love is "toss the cheerios in the air and see where they land".

His favorite food is no longer sweet potatoes.  It is, beyond any doubt, the Gerber Yogurt Melts.  He practically jumps out of his skin when I simply pull the bag out.  He grabs them by the fistful and gleefully shoves them into his mouth.  And then he will excitedly sign for more.  Take them away and you will see the beginnings of a fit.  Try to give him cheerios after yogurt melts and you may be headed for meltdown.  For this reason, yogurt melts now are given at the end of a meal.

And speaking of the end of a meal...  sometimes they end abruptly with a faceplant into the food as the little guy falls asleep.  A result of how hard he can play now!

I never realized that eating could be so cute!
