Andy's Birthday

We celebrated another birthday with Andy just a couple of weeks ago. Andy took a four day weekend and we enjoyed a lot of time around the house, and a little bit of time outside too. On his actual birthday, Charlie and I woke up and left to go get him one of his favorites... McDonald’s breakfast. When we got back, Charlie ran upstairs to our room and started singing Happy Birthday to him really loudly. Actually, it was a combination of the traditional Happy Birthday song and the Sprout channel’s, “Happy, happy birthday, to you. To you...” I think it was a good way for Andy to start his day. Right after breakfast he opened one of the presents that he’d been waiting for – a multimeter. But we waited to open the rest until later.

Andy requested breakfast burritos for his birthday dinner. There is a definite theme here – last year we had breakfast for dinner as well. After we were done eating, we started opening presents. Andy got a lot of good stuff and Charlie had some fun helping him. I was actually able to surprise him with one present this year... (Andy is really good at guessing everything,) and I think he was excited to get a new watch. He also got a portable multimeter from his dad, so now he is definitely set to work on the electronics projects he has been wanting to do. And he got a new Xbox game and two new games for his DS.

We had Boston Crème Pie with ice cream... I cheated this year and bought it from Safeway, and it was very tasty! All in all, I think he had a really nice birthday.
