Most kids eat on a chair at a table. Ephram has a booster seat attached to one of our kitchen chairs, but for the past couple of months he prefers to sit on one of the other chairs during the day. He is such a neat eater (for a two year old at least) that I let him.
For the past month or so, Ephram has been experimenting with other eating styles.
Like the "kick up your feet in your booster seat."
He also often hops down to turn his chair around and pull it up to the window, where he points out all of the birds and squirrels for us. From this position, the windowsill makes a great tabletop.
He also likes to drag the other chairs all around the kitchen. Sometimes this is to aid in his climbing attempts to retrieve items of interest. Sometimes it is just to have a different view. For example, eating in front of the fridge provides a funny reflection to laugh at. It also provides the opportunity to play with your leapfrog magnetic alphabet singing toy while you are eating. Bonus: when you are done, you can open the fridge and self serve as many cheese sticks as you want.
Ephram grows more personality every day. It is pretty fun to watch him come up with his own ideas and then carry them through.
Totally an unrelated picture, but I still love how a toddler can be playing hard one minute and then be crashed out on the floor the next time you turn around.
