Brand New Big Brother

Ephram has always been a great little brother.  But the pride that just radiates from him now that he is a big brother is remarkable.  Since Ephram is just 2 and has a speech delay, our conversations before Macie's arrival were pretty one sided.  He seemed excited about a baby sister and he seemed to understand that someday he wouldn't be pushing on my belly to play with her, but actually have a real-live baby living with him.  I just didn't know what to expect until she got here.

Ephram has blown me away from his first meeting with Macie.  He is so very gentle with her, curious about her, concerned when she is sad, helpful, and even plays appropriately with her.  Sibling rivalry?  Sure, he is "asking" for some extra attention lately with some terrible two behavior.  But Macie couldn't ask for a more devoted big brother.

Both of Macie's brothers are fantastic with her.  I can't wait to see how their relationships play out as they grow up!
