Father's Day came quickly for us this year. We had a pretty low-key day. Just like Mother's Day, we started out with donuts from Frost... they were very yummy. Then we pretty much just hung out and had a fun family day at home.
When we did our grocery shopping for Andy's requested dinner, (breakfast burritos,) Charlie did a great job helping me out. Usually I let him pick one thing for himself when he does a really good job. He almost always gets a little thing of chocolate milk. But this time he said that he wanted to get a balloon for his dad. So we got a big balloon that Charlie said looked like Dusty from Handy Manny, (Dusty is a saw,) that said, "Best Dad I Ever Saw." Charlie was so proud to hand the balloon over to Andy.
I took the opportunity to take some pictures with Andy and our boys.
After the breakfast burritos were consumed, (they were delicious,) we did a few presents. Charlie was super-excited to give his Dad the present he made at preschool. He spent some time showing us both everything he'd drawn on the bag the present sat inside. The present was a cute poem with some cookies and kisses.
Charlie also had fun peeking through the holes on the card that we gave Andy.
We'd been at Central Market on Saturday and seen some awesome looking strawberries, so dessert was an easy choice this time... Strawberry shortcake! It was delicious.
Our boys are so lucky to have Andy as a dad. I hope he enjoyed his special day this year!
