Ephram's First Meal

When Ephram was five and a half months old, we decided it was time to give him his first taste of rice cereal.  We were waiting and waiting to hit the six month mark, but he just seemed like he was ready a couple of weeks early... so we went ahead.

He took to it right away, and loved his rice cereal!   We thinned it out so much that it was pretty much the consistency of milk, but he was so excited to be able to eat from a spoon.  He even grabbed it from me a couple of times and shoved it into his mouth.  In the end he had quite a bit of rice cereal on his nose, cheeks, chin, bib and arms... but most of it had made it into his mouth.  I think we were all excited to hit this milestone in eating!  Some day, I know he will be able to put something into his mouth all by himself.  I am so excited for that day.  I also reserve the right at that time to comment about how I wish he would stay small forever.
