Along with getting up on her knees to crawl, Macie soon realized that she could reach and grab things above her. Ephram was not thrilled with this discovery.
Macie really worked on fine motor skills this month. It all started right after Easter. She became obsessed with opening these eggs to retrieve the cereal inside. I started giving her eggs filled with cereal every morning, (at her request.)
She realized that she could go through Ephram's little tunnels with the boys. They were thrilled about this. Suddenly their little sister could follow them through more exciting places. Except for the fact that Ephram always hid the things he was keeping "safe" in the tunnels. He soon found a solution to this problem: block off the tunnel with pillows when a toy was kept safe inside.
After months (and months) of me encouraging her to stack, Macie finally started to love stacking. These cups were her favorite, but she was roving the house and trying to stack things everywhere. She was soon able to stack three or four blocks on top of each other.
And, perhaps most exciting to her mom, she started to walk with assistance.
I just love watching my baby grow!
