Another thing that we got to try when we returned from California was a big milestone for both Ephram and Mommy. Now that Ephram was over a year old, he was ready to try cow's milk in a cup. Our first attempts were interesting. There were a few outfits that were covered in milk that came pouring out of his mouth. (I don't think he really liked the taste of it at first!) But he definitely did like holding the cup and controlling when and how much he was going to drink. He'd had sippy cups with water and juice before, but there's just something different about milk.

But then he magically started enjoying it. This set the stage for us to start weaning a few months later.
As a side note, we've since learned that Ephram has a slight allergy to cow's milk... so for the past few weeks he's been enjoying soy milk. He seems to like the taste of it much better, perhaps because it isn't hurting his tummy!
