Macie at 15 Months

My baby girl is 15 months old now! She is the cutest little girl. She likes shopping with Mommy and has even been insistent about getting certain outfits. She brings shoes to me all day every day and asks for them to be put on. She loves brushing her hair and has developed a few cute, coy looks that she proudly displays. She's also a bit of a daredevil and a bit of a monkey. She is not yet walking, although she's taken a random step here and there, but she is a climber and is always looking for things to manipulate to get what she wants. She's very good at getting her brothers to get her what she wants. She loves playing with ride-on toys, spinning and jumping toys, her castle, balls and blocks. She likes to hold blocks in the air and then try to stack more on. She has all her baby teeth and shows them all the time. She loves all music and tries to sing along with us. She will studiously sit and read a book for all of five minutes, and she's getting good at making messes. She is transitioning to toddler foods nicely and had hot dogs and grapes (with skins removed) for the first time today... and strawberries and ice cream yesterday. This little girl wants to do everything, now. I love her so much!

Macie plays peekaboo with just about any object she can get her hands on.  Even her bowl.  She'll readily dump out the food so that she can use it to cover her face.

She also loves the Zebra that Ephram has had since his first Christmas.

Macie loves to play with her shirts and her hands.  I love how expressive she is.

My girl will get down on the floor and build a good tower out of blocks just as easily as my boys do.

She loves shoes and carts them around the house, asking to have them put on.  Here she's falling asleep with just one shoe on.

She's always trying to "get Mommy".  And she frequently sticks her tongue out in concentration.

Macie continues to love blankets. The second she sees them, she wraps them around her. Then she eventually carries them, by hand or by mouth, on her next adventure. Her favorite remains the one I crocheted for her. She loves poking her fingers through the holes.

This is her contemplative look. I can't wait for the day she can tell me what she's thinking about.

She is a little daredevil. My bed sits pretty high off the ground. She is sure that she needs no help to get down. Lucky for her, I'm always close... but I'm sure a day will come where she'll take a good tumble.

She's ready to jump over the chair to get Mommy.

This is the one where Mommy was getting her foot. She loves these little games. I love her huge, rolling, giggle. It's the best.

Berry Picking at Bailey's

We had a most excellent day at Bailey's Vegetable Farm -
Just me, the boys, and a big group from our Mom's group.
We planted a corn kernel in the fields to help celebrate the farm's centennial.
We took a tractor ride to the fields.
We picked lots of perfectly red and delicious strawberries.
Ephram even got good at figuring out which ones to get.
(Although he asked me to actually pick them off after the first few bugs he saw.)
Charlie was so dedicated to filling his pint up just right!
We went back to the barn and ate lunch,
Spaghetti-O's for the boys,
And then played in the barn until everyone was tired.
And hot.
And happy.
